It’s almost September and time to go back to school!
If you have dolls who attend school, today’s post is for you.
1:6 Miniature Composition Notebooks
I created a printable so you can make composition notebooks in Barbie size (which is a 1:6 scale.)
What you need
Printable (free download available in this post), paperboard (like the paper used for cereal boxes), glue stick
How to make
Sorry I did not take any pictures of the steps of making these. I thought it was easy and you could even make it without instruction. But in case you are new to miniature craft, here are the steps:-)
- Print the composition notebook printable and cut all pieces including a template.
- Using a template, cut 3-4 pieces of paperboard per notebook. I used three.
- Glue 3-4 paperboards together.
- Glue the cover of the notebook around the paperboard you made in step 3.

1:6 Miniature Pencils
Okay, once you are done with making composition notebooks, let’s make some pencils.
What you need
Toothpicks (you can make two pencils from a toothpick), washi tape, pencil
How to make
- Cut a toothpick into two. Mine is 2.5cm (or 1 inch.)
- Using a nail file, clean both tips so they will be smooth and won’t poke your fingers.
- Wrap a piece of washi tape around.
- Colour one end with a pencil so it will look like a real pencil.
How to play
Hope you enjoy today’s post. I made these and went outside with Andrea. She is a teenager in my miniature doll town.
I think Andrea is ready to go back to school. How about your doll?
